DULUTH -- A night after giving up 14 runs in the first inning, the Thunder Bay Border Cats are back in the win column.

Brady Gulakowski doubled twice and drove in a pair of Friday night to lead the visiting Border Cats to a 6-4 win over the Duluth Huskies at Wade Stadium.

Erik Key had a strong outing on the mound, giving up four runs on five hits and three walks in six innings to improve to 2-3.

Billy Cook and Evan Russell also had two hits apiece for Thunder Bay, whose record jumped to 10-22. Cam Pearcey also dove in two runs for Thunder Bay, who took the lead for good in the sixth. Duluth maintained a slender one-game edge in the Northwoods League's North Division.

The Border Cats, winners of four of their last five, return home on Saturday night for the start of a four-game set against the Waterloo Bucks.
