The Thunder Bay Chill forward, who led the circuit in scoring last year, netted a timely first in 2011, scoring in the 80th minute Saturday night on a pass from newcomer Jordian Farahani to give the Chill a 1-0 win over expansion WSA Winnipeg to open their ninth campaign.

The two teams will meet again on Sunday afternoon at the Winnipeg Indoor Soccer Complex.

The Chill return home next weekend for a pair of friendlies against Winnipeg Sons of Italy, then host Des Moines in league play on June 10 and 11.
