The OUA’s second-leading scorer, held to 11 points in the series opener, made up for it a day later, scoring 20 points and hauling in 16 rebounds to lead the Lakehead Thunderwolves to a 63-36 OUA women’s basketball thrashing of the host Brock Badgers on Satruday.

Essa Jacobsen also hit double digits for the Thunderwolves, dropping 13to go with eight rebounds of her own.

The one-sided win earned the Wolves a split in the weekend series, but more importantly, the 27-point margin also ensured LU will win the tiebreaker should the two teams finished deadlocked in the standings in three weeks.

No Badgers player cracked the 10-point mark. Kayla Santilli led Brock with just seven points.

Lakehead lead 14-10 after 10 minutes, then out-scored the Badgers 25-5 in the second to take a 24-point lead at the half.
