The St. Ignatius Falcons made easy work of the Westgate Tigers in senior girls basketball play on Thursday.
Maggie Murphy had 18 points, more than double the collected total of the opposition Westgate Tigers, as the Falcons went on to a lopsided 60-8 win. Erin Legros had four points to pace the outmatched Tigers.
Elsewhere it was Hammarskjold rolling to an easy 45-13 win over Superior Collegiate, lead by 10 points apiece from Karis Barrett and Gillian Lavoie. Hannah Brown scored four to lead the defeated Gryphons.
In junior girls action, Megan Foster netted 16 and Shannon McKitrick scored a dozen, leading the Vikings to a 63-19 win over Superior Collegiate.
The Falcons continued their winning ways in the junior circuit, thumping Westgate 43-15, led by Jessica Korchak’s 18. Amanda Walberg hit double figures with 10 for St. Ignatius.
