Cassandra Soulias and Katelyn Andrea poured in a dozen points apiece on Tuesday, leading the St. Ignatius Falcons to a 42-25 senior high school girls basketball win over the Hammarskjold Vikings. Gillian Lavoie had nine to lead Hammarskjold, who fell to 5-2, a game behind the 6-1 Falcons.

Elsewhere Churchill pulled into a second-place tie in the standings, doubling St. Patrick 46-23. Anna Kamerman had 18 to pace the Trojans winning attack. Angelina Faletto and Lauren Zimak had five points each for the Saints.

At Westgate the host Tigers easily ran past the Superior Collegiate Gryphons 36-21, riding Gillian Fazio’s 11-point performance. Chevon Turpin had eight points for Superior.

On the junior girls court, Julia Lovis had nine points in Churchill’s 38-16 thumping of St. Patrick, Aliisa Heiskanen had 14 as Hammarskjold swept past St. Ignatius 50-33 and Emily Debruin had 10 in Westgate’s 39-30 win over Superior. Caitlin Tarabocchia had a game-high 14 in a losing cause.
