Final Results for Queens teams in Duluth

The Bantam AA, Peewee and GridLink Atom Queens all finished up in their respective divisions on Sunday in Duluth’s St. Luke’s Icebreaker Tournament.

DULUTH, MN — The Bantam AA, Peewee and GridLink Atom Queens all finished up in their respective divisions on Sunday in Duluth’s St. Luke’s Icebreaker Tournament.

After three one-goal games, which the Bantam AAs ended up on the wrong side of twice, the Bantam AAs would route Duluth 6-0 in the 7th place in the 15U-A. Emma Johnston opened scoring in the first and then Reese Coffey and Alexis Paddington ran the table with two and three goals respectively.

Over in the 12U-A division, the Peewee Queens capped off a successful weekend by claiming the Consolation championship with a 1-0 overtime victory over #9 ranked Woodbury. Ella Manilla was the overtime hero with Taylor Barenz assisting on the game winner. Abby Wills was solid in net with the shutout. Shots favoured the PW Queens 22-18.

Finally in the 10U-A, the GridLink Atom Queens took home 4th place. After defeating Eden Prairie 3-2 and Elk River 5-2, the Queens got bounced from the Gold medal game by tournament juggernaut Andover, who outscored all opponents 22-0 on their way to a championship. The Atoms took on Champ Park/Coon Rapids in the 3rd place game but would get just edged out by a score of 2-1.
