THUNDER BAY -- A lack of city staff to clear snow-covered Fort William Stadium has led to the postponement of Saturday's scheduled high school senior football semfinals.

Officials with the Superior Secondary Schools Athletic Association said the higher-than-expected dusting the city received overnight left the municipality scrambling, most extra staff needed to help out with Remembrance Day ceremonies.

Both games will instead be played on Sunday afternoon.

The St. Ignatius Falcons will take on the Hammarskjold Vikings at 1 p.m., while the undefeated and top-seeded Sir Winston Churchill Trojans will battle with the Westgate Tigers in the other semifinal, scheduled for 3 p.m.
