Lakehead's modest three-game winning streak came to a close on Friday night against a much taller University of Ottawa opponent.

The Gee Gees used their size to their advantage at the Thunderdome, and rode a 21-point performance by centre Hannah Sunley-Paisley to a 63-52 win over the Thunderwolves.

Ayse Kalkan was the leading scorer for LU, netting 13, while Lacey McNulty and Lindsay Druery each scored 11.
The Wolves take on No. 4 Carleton Saturday night. Game time is 6 p.m.
