Thunder Bay goalie Carter Hutton has a new home.
The 27-year-old, who made his NHL debut with Chicago this past season, on Friday signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Nashville Predators.
The contract is worth $550,000 if he sticks with the parent club, $100,000 if he spends the season in the American Hockey League.
“Couldn’t be more excited to join @PredsNHL,” Hutton tweeted shortly after the signing.
Hutton posted a 26-22-1 record with a 2.72 goals against average and a .908 save percentage toiling for the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs, the primary farm team of the Chicago Blackhawks.
