THUNDER BAY — Dan Grant has resigned his post as the Thunder Bay Border Cats general manager.
“This was an incredibly tough decision to make. For the past three summers I’ve wanted nothing more than for this organization to be successful. We made great strides in the community and hopefully helped impact a lot of lives for the better,” he said in a statement issued early Thursday morning.
Grant said he’ll miss interacting with the Northwoods League team’s fans and thanked the team for the opportunity.
“I’d also like to thank, from the bottom of my heart, my office staff who worked such insanely long hours all summer. I’ll miss our crazy laughter the most. I’d also like to thank all the volunteers who help out every game and our host families and host coordinators. You are all the best.”
There is no immediate word on what steps the Border Cats organization will take regarding the future of the general manager position.
Grant did not say what his future plans might include.
