Saturday saw the Hawks roll to an easy 13-0 triumph and followed that up with an 11-1 victory on Sunday afternoon.

In the opener Nick Earnshaw turned aside all 24 shots he faced to post the shutout and Geoff Vaillant would tally twice in the first period to send the Hawks on their way.

They would then explode for nine goals in the middle frame to blow the contest wide open.

Nick Brimmer and Nathan Spina would both notch a pair while Jeremy Yocum, Justin Tougas, Kyle MacLeod, Mitchell Fox and Mike Mapledoram supplied singles.

Mapledoram and Spina would add third period goals to round out the scoring.

The Hawks pumped 49 shots on Schreiber netminders Chase Hamilton and Devon Pento would both saw time between the pipes for the Falcons.

In Sunday’s matinee, Josh Elvish and Vaillant would put the visitors up a couple before Kevin St. Charles struck on the power play for the Falcons to make it a 2-1 game after 20 minutes.

The vaunted Hawks offence would take over from there firing five markers in the middle stanza including two tallies from Brimmer along with solo efforts from Spina, Tougas and MacLeod.

Third period goals from Tougas, MacLeod, Cary Brown and Justin Veltri would round out the scoring in the final frame.

Markus Leikkari would make 24 saves to pick up the victory for the Hawks who improved to 8-0 on the year.

Pento started in net for Schreiber and suffered the loss. Hamilton also saw time for the Falcons as the duo faced 45 total shots as they fell to 0-8 in their first year in the league.

Two other games were scheduled over the weekend with the Jr. B Stars visiting the Northern Renegades in Eagle Lake, however no scores have been reported.
