The Dryden Ice Dogs have evened up the Superior International Junior Hockey League final.

B.J. McLellan scored the winner 7:32 into the third period, giving the road-weary Ice Dogs a 2-1 win in Game 2 of their best-of-seven series against the top-ranked Fort William North Stars.

After playing a scoreless first, Randall Hanlan got the Stars on the board first, at 8:33 of the second period. Ben McClellan tied it up 43 seconds later.

Dryden out-shot the North Stars 31-26, with goalie Josh Baker making 25 saves in the win.
Game 3 goes Saturday night in Dryden.
