Irwin nets pair, Canada wins easily at 12 Nations Cup

Haley Irwin scored twice to help Canada to an 11-0 thrashing of Slovakia on Saturday at the 12 Nations women’s hockey tournament in Vienna. Vicki Bendus had a hat trick for Canada, while Jayna Hefford amd Jesse Scanzano also netted a pair.

Haley Irwin scored twice to help Canada to an 11-0 thrashing of Slovakia on Saturday at the 12 Nations women’s hockey tournament in Vienna.

Vicki Bendus had a hat trick for Canada, while Jayna Hefford amd Jesse Scanzano also netted a pair. Canada out-shot their opponent 73-8.

Genevieve Lacasses stopped everything directed her way to earn the win for Canada (3-0). They play the U.S. on Sunday.
