Ben Johnson missed all four shots he took from two-point territory Saturday night.

Apparently all he needed to do was step back a few feet.

The second-year Lakehead Thunderwolves guard was in the zone from beyond the arc, hitting nine of 12 three-pointers to lead the Wolves to a 85-79 win over Windsor, completing a weekend sweep and maintaining a share of top spot in the OUA West.

Johnson, who also hit both free throws he attempted, finished with 29 points, more than doubling any other player on the Wolves.
On a night when scoring leader Venzal Russell was held to just three points, LU turned elsewhere for offence. In addition to Johnson's night, Joseph Jones and Yoosrie Salhia each scored 14 for the winning side.

Salhia also grabbed eight boards, and Russell, who may not have put the ball in the basket himself, dished out 10 assists and let his teammates do the scoring.

Lakehead, who hit 16 three-pointers on the night, led 44-39 at the half.

Lien Phillip topped the Lancers with 17 points.

The Wolves host lat place Waterloo (4-12) for a pair next weekend at the Thunderdome.
