Karlee Jones won the battle of Thunder Bay on Friday night, and remains the only undefeated team at the Northern Ontario junior women's provincial curling championship.

Jones handily defeated fellow Port Arthur Curling Club opponent Tirzah Keffer 12-5 in Friday's final draw, upping her record to 5-0 at the Sioux Lookout championship. Keffer suffered her lone loss of the event to fall to 4-1.

Jones, curling with lead Kim Zsakai, second Victoria Anderson and third Grace Esquega, won three times on the day, starting with a 9-5 triumph over Longlac's Danielle Ouellet foursome. Jones followed that win with a 7-1 laugher over Copper Cliff's Chloe Gordon.

Keffer had an equally easy first couple of matches on the second day of competition, knocking off Keewatin's Megan Szajewski 10-3 to start the day, then swept past Idylwylde's Robin Beaudry 8-3.
Round-robin action continues on Saturday.
