Junior Falcons clinch top spot

Halfback Kyle Hughes rushed for 65 yards and two majors as the Falcons improved to 2-0 on the season, holding the Vikings (1-2) to a mere 67 yards of offence at Fort William Stadium.

Elsewhere St. Patrick secured second place in the junior boys standings, getting 153 yards and a core from Mike Gentile and 126 yards and a touchdown from Bryce Borek in their 34-7 win over Westgate (0-3).

The Tigers, who clinched fifth in the standings, were led by Sean TenHave’s 82 yards on the ground, including the opening touchdown at 3:12 of the first quarter.
