Kerbashian stars for Sting

SARNIA, Ont. - Thunder Bay's Kale Kerbashian had a four-point night, scoring twice and adding two assists as the Sarnia Sting edged the visiting Niagara IceDogs 6-5 in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night.

Nail Yakupov and Joe Rogalski each had a goal and two assists for Sarnia (12-11-4), while Nick Latta, and Brett Ritchie had singles. The Sting's power play scored four times on six chances, with netminder John Cullen stopping 31 shots.

Ryan Strome had his second consecutive two-goal game for Niagara (16-8-3), with Dyan MacEachern, Freddie Hamilton and Steven Shipley also scoring.

John Chartrand took the loss, allowing six goals on just 20 shots while the IceDogs power-play struggled, scoring twice on 11 opportunities.
