Call it a career for Tasia McKenna and Sarah Gordon.

McKenna added 17 more points on Sunday to her all-time Lakehead Thunderwolves scoring record, but it wasn’t enough to help the Wolves overcome the No. 3-ranked Western Mustangs, who out-pointed Lakehead in each of the first three quarters en route to a 71-59 win in the OUA West Division third-place game.

With the loss the Wolves were eliminated from playoff contention. A win would have set up a one-game showdown in Thunder Bay next weekend for the final OUA berth at the CIS nationals.

Ayse Kalkan and Lindsay Druery  each had a dozen points for Lakehead, while Gordon, also playing in her final game with the Wolves, netted six.

Beckie Williams had 17 to lead the Mustangs, who will take on either Ottawa or Ryerson next weekend.
