Lady Wolves trounced by Hawks

If the Lakehead Thunderwolves women's basketball team wants to make the postseason, they'll have to play a heck of a lot better than they did on Friday night.

Felicia Mazerolle scored 18 points and had five rebounds and four steals, pacing the Laurier Golden Hawks to a 66-51 home-court triumph to move to 8-3.

Lakehead (6-5) was led by Lindsay Druery, who picked up 15 points and added nine boards, and Carolyn Fragale, who finished with 11.

"We really got out worked tonight. Laurier is a tough team and really made it tough on us to execute our offense and get locked in on defense," said LU coach Jon Kreiner. "

Felicia was great tonight and Doreen really gave us troubles. They just played as a team and executed their game plan better than we did. We need to regroup and find a way to get to the line more and keep our opponents off the line."
