The Lakehead Thunderwolves volleyball team is not taking well to travelling.
The Thunderwolves dropped their third straight road contest on Friday night in Hamilton, falling in straight sets (18-25, 16-25, 16-25) to the McMaster Marauders.
After winning their first two games of the season at the Thunderdome, Lakehead (2-3) has now seen their regular season record dip below .500.
Setter Sara Hudson recorded 12 assists and libero Breanne Hilhorst had 11 digs.
The Marauders were led by 12.5 points from Sophie Bukovec.
“I am not sure we were consistent in any aspect tonight,” head coach Chris Green was quoted in a release. “We portrayed flashes of consistent play for small bunches of points. That's not what we are. The girls will work the video tonight and discuss our options.”
The two teams will be back in action on Saturday evening.
