Lakers even SIJHL final 2-2; Stars say they've hired a new coach

Nolan Ross and Bryson Jasper scored 79 seconds apart in the third period to propel the Lakers to the triumph. The Ice Dogs had taken a 2-1 lead through 40 minutes on Dylan Cusmano's tally, after after Dryden's Derek McPhail for Fort Frances' Wyatt Cota trade first-period markers.

Nathan Park stopped 22 of 24 stops to claim the win. Tate Sproxton surrendered three goals on 32 shots.

Game 5 is Friday night in Fort Frances.

In other SIJHL news, the Thunder Bay North Stars say they'll be announcing a new coach on Friday. The Stars were guided the past two seasons by Jeremy Adduono.
