A furious third-period comeback Tuesday earned the Fort Frances Lakers yet another win.

Byron Katapaytuk capped a three-goal rally by the host Lakers, his tally at 16:32 of the final stanza proving to be the difference in Fort Frances's 4-3 Superior International Junior Hockey League win over the visiting Duluth Clydesdales.

Jordan Larson and Ryan Wildman, with a shorthanded effort at 12:42, also replied for the Lakers in the fateful period.

The Clydesdales built a 2-0 first period lead on goals by Cody Stettin and Keith Tomassoni, but Alex Bruess cut the lead in half with three minutes to go.

Duluth's David Tearse scored the lone goal of the second period.

Tyler Ampe made 29 saves to pick up the win. Jason Dzurik was tagged with the loss.

The Thunder Bay North Stars are back in action on Wednesday night, hosting the Sioux Lookout Flyers at Fort William Gardens. Game time is the usual 7:30 p.m.
