Trevor Letowski is headed full circle.
The former NHLer has been named to Canada’s national junior hockey team’s coaching staff, filling a spot recently vacate by Drummondville coach Martin Raymond.
Letowski, who spent five seasons coaching the OHL’s Sarnia Sting and played for Canada’s junior team in 1997, is an assistant this year with the Windsor Spitfires.
Letowski’s move, announced on Wednesday by Hockey Canada, leaves a vacancy on the Team Canada Black’s coaching staff ahead of the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. Former NHLer Jay McKee will take over.
