Thunder Bay is inching closer to becoming home to Canada's favourite ball park.

The semi-finals for the Canada's Favourite Ball Park contest continue until Monday, Aug. 8, as Port Arthur Stadium goes head-to-head with Seaman Stadium in Okotoks, Alta., in an online showdown.

Mayor Keith Hobbs raised the Thunder Bay flag outside the stadium to show his support for the contest Thursday. While the exact numbers aren't known, Port Arthur Stadium currently has a big lead in the battle against Okotoks.

But Thunder Bay International Baseball Association board member Todd Maki is warning residents to not be complacent in voting.

Voting is open until 10 a.m. Monday morning on the Baseball Canada website.
