LU rallies in fourth against Guelph

Good teams can save their best for last and get away with it.
Good teams can save their best for last and get away with it.

That’s exactly what the Lakehead Thunderwolves men’s basketball team did Friday night, outscoring host Guelph 22-8 in the fourth and final quarter to earn a hard-fought 66-55 win to start the OUA’s s post-Christmas run to the playoffs.

The second-place Wolves (7-2) got 25 points from Yoosrie Salhia – and a dozen boards to boot – and 12 from Jamie Searle.

George Mason led the way for Guelph with 15.

The two teams will face off again on Saturday night.
