The Lakehead Thunderwolves women’s basketball team has plenty to live up to this season, but will have to hope for a quick turnaround on Saturday.

Tasia McKenna and Ayse Kalkan had 11 points apiece, but the Wolves fell 74-53 to the host University of Toronto Varsity Blues on Friday, not the way the Thunder Bay team wanted to start the 2010-11 OUA season.

Nicki Schultz scored a game-high 12 points and pulled in 14 rebounds to pace Toronto.

The Wolves will look to get back on the winning track on Saturday when they visit York.
