On Saturday night they drew one step closer to making it meaning something.

The Wolves, paced by 14 from Lindsay Druery and a dozen from Tasia McKenna, edged the host McMaster Marauders 60-57 to pull into a third place tie with Laurier in the OUA West Division standings.

The Golden Hawks fell 70-62 to Western, who top the division at 12-2.

The Wolves (10-4) led by one at the half and out-scored McMaster by a pair in the fourth quarter to hang on for the win.

Taylor Chiarot had 15 points, tops for McMaster (3-10).
