Things are tightening up in the OUA West.
On Friday the Lakehead Thunderwolves women's basketball team added to the uncertainty, dropping a 77-70 overtime decision to the host Brock Badgers and have just a two-point cushion between making and missing the postseason.
The Wolves concentrated the bulk of their scoring to three players in this one. Carolyn Fragale pumped home 21 points, Kelsey Bardsley netted 19 and Lindsay Druery, cleared to play by doctors earlier in the week, scored 17.
The rest of the team combined to score just 13 points.
Nicole Rosenkranz topped the Badgers with 18.
Lakehead (9-10), who take on Brock again on Saturday, are technically fifth in the OUA West, tied with Western, a team LU owns the tiebreaker against.
Guelph, who upset Laurier earlier in the week, are 8-11.
