LU women's hot streak cools in Ottawa

A poor start cost the Lakehead women’s basketball team on Saturday night. The Carleton Ravens rolled over the Thunderwolves 23-6 in the opening quarter and Lakehead could never recover, falling 85-61 in the nation’s capital.

The Carleton Ravens rolled over the Thunderwolves 23-6 in the opening quarter and Lakehead could never recover, falling 85-61 in the nation’s capital.

Kendall Macleod scored 20 points and secured eight rebounds in a winning cause for the Ravens, who got double figures from five players.

Lacey McNulty led the Wolves with 13 point, two more than Emily Ross. Lindsay Druery was held to a season-low two points in the loss.

The Wolves finish first-half play at 6-2.
