Jones (3-1), a four-time Scotties Tournament of Hearts champions, raced out to a 4-0 lead in the first end and never looked back, scoring six in the sixth to end the massacre with an 11-3 triumph on Thursday evening.

McCarville (2-1), lead Sarah Lang, second Kari MacLean and third Ashley Mihariha will take on Kelly Scott of B.C. on Friday morning and wraps up round-robin play in the afternoon against Heather Nedohin’s foursome.

The Thunder Bay squad is tied atop the Pool B standings at 2-1 with Holland and Olympic silver medallist Cheryl Bernard.
