The Thunder Bay foursome on Friday scored a7-2 Draw 8 win over Jacqueline Harrison. With one match left, Friday night against Sherry Middaugh, McCarville (4-4) must win to earn her way into a tiebreaker. As many as four teams could finish with 5-4 records when round robin play concludes.

McCarville, Ashley Miharija, Sara Lang and Kari Lavoie scored three in the sixth end to break open a 1-1 game.

Rachel Homan leads the way at the Kitchener-Waterloo Granite Club with a perfect 8-0 record, knocking off Cathy Auld Friday afternoon in a first-place battle by an 8-4 count. Auld, at 6-2, has already clinched a playoff berth.

Julie Hastings strengthened her playoff chances in Draw 8, at the expense of Thunder Bay’s Marlo Dahl (0-8) whose winless week continued with a 7-3 loss.

Hastings and Middaugh are tied for third at 5-3.
