SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – Krista McCarville is in the thick of things at the Road to the Roar Olympic pre-trials in Summerside, P.E.I.

The Thunder Bay skip raced out to a 3-0 lead on Wednesday night after two ends, but it was steals of one in the eighth and two in the ninth that sealed a 7-3 victory over Kamloops, B.C.’s Karla Thompson rink.

The win upped McCarville’s record to 2-1 and placed her in a four-way tie atop the Pool B standings at the week-long event, that’s offering up a pair of berths at next month’s Olympic trials.

McCarville, Sherry Middaugh, Kerri Einarson and Jaqueline Harrison have identical records heading into Thursday’s morning draw.

McCarville is taking on Middaugh, while Harrison will play Einarson.
