McKenna, Druery, Zinck honoured by OUA

The fifth-year guard on Wednesday was named an OUA first-team all-star, one of three Lakehead Thunderwolves honoured when the league announced its annual award winners.

Also earning spots on the first team were Jessica Clemencon of Windsor, also named OUA most valuable player, Matteke Hutzler of Western, the defensive player of the year, Laurier’s Renata Adamcyzk, who won the Joy Bellinger Award and Brock’s Whitney Gorges.

Lakehead teammate Lindsay Druery was named a second-team all-star, alongside Western’s Jenny Vaughn, Windsor’s Miah-Marie Langlois, McMaster’s Taylor Chiarot and Brock’s Emily McKay.

Haligonian Darcy Zinck, who joined the Wolves this season, was named to the OUA’s all-rookie team.
