And it was the woman’s team’s unquestioned leader who guided them back to the victory column on Saturday night.
Tasia McKenna scored 19 points, snagged seven rebounds and added eight assists as the Wolves erased a Friday loss to the Guelph Gryphons with a 79-57 thrashing in the rematch.
Lindsay Druery helped the cause with 16 points and five boards, while Lacey McNulty threw down 14 as the Big 3 stepped up and took charge.
Samantha Russell was tops for the Gryphons, netting 18.
Lakehead (7-3) was up 47-20 at the half.
