McKenna's 27 paces Wolves to win

A 23-point third quarter helped the Lakehead Thunderwolves women overcome a four-point half-time deficit on Saturday, as they held off host Ryerson in the fourth to claima 67-62 victory on Day 2 of the OUA basketball campaign.

Fifth-year guard Tasia McKenna was a one-woman wrecking crew for the Wolves, scoring a game-high 27 points to go with six rebounds and three steals.

Fellow Nova Scotian Sarah Gordon had 13 in the win, while first-year forward Lacey McNulty grabbed an astonishing 16 boards.

Ashley McDonald led the Rams with 19.
