NDC's Lee captures gold in Quebec

Thunder Bay's Andrea Lee struck gold on Sunday. The National Development Centre skier captured top spot at the Haywood NorAm Canada Cup in Orford, Que., fighting through cold and win to hit the podium.

The National Development Centre skier captured top spot at the Haywood NorAm Canada Cup in Orford, Que., fighting through cold and win to hit the podium.

"This was such a fun and exciting race for me, I feel like my skating technique if finally starting to come together. We had some of the fastest skis on the course, thanks to our great support staff," Lee said in a release issued by the team.

Other top results for the Thunder Bay-based squad included a silver medal from Jack Carlyle in the junior men's 20-kilometre mass start, a fifth-place junior women's finish for Alannah MacLean, and ninth from Dudley Coulter in the open men's field.
