THUNDER BAY — Queens forward Lucy Newman has committed to Mount Allison University.
Currently in her second season with the Sportop Midget AA Queens, Newman will join Mount Allison for the 2019-2020 season.
Her choice to play for Mount Allison was due to their high-level hockey program and even better academics.
“This decision allows me to both play hockey at a CIS level while also pursuing my scholastic goals.”
Before moving on, Lucy says she looks forward to finishing out her midget hockey career with the Queens, as she’ll remain with the team for the 2018-19 season, before playing CIS for Mount Allison.
