Nigro's hat trick leads North Stars past Miners

Nicholas Nigro scored a natural hat trick Saturday night, leading the Thunder Bay North Stars to a 6-4 win over the English River Miners. Brandon Wolframe had a goal and an assist for the winning side.

The Miners, who were unable to make it to Thunder Bay for Friday’s scheduled match between the two teams, were led by Eric Champagne’s three-goal, one-assist effort.

Daniel McKitrick and Ryan McQueen had the Stars other goals, while Taylor Bargar scored English River’s other tally.
The North Stars improved to 10-5-0 while English River fell to 2-10-2.

The North Stars host English River on Wednesday night at Fort William Gardens.
