Tuesday's night's Superior International Junior Hockey League's contest slated for Fort William Gardens has been cancelled.
The Thunder Bay North Stars were supposed to play host to the ailing Duluth Clydesdales, but an inability to secure enough players has forced the team to postpone a third straight game. The league also cancelled games this past weekend against Fort Frances and Dryden.
Speculation is running rampant the team has been kicked out of the six-team league, though SIJHL president Ron Whitehead would not confirm that when contacted on Monday by Thunder Bay Television.
The SIJHL started the season with seven teams, but the Sioux Lookout Flyers suspended operations in the opening weeks of the campaign.
