North Stars name Adduono coach

The Thunder Bay North Stars coaching merry-go-round has come full circle.

The Thunder Bay North Stars coaching merry-go-round has come full circle.

A season after parting ways with Jeremy Adduono, the Superior International Junior Hockey League team has named the former NHL draft pick as its new coach, replacing the departed Gary Wenzel.

Adduono, who coached the team for two seasons, had a 63-36-5 record behind the bench with the Stars from 2013 to 2015, before agreeing to leave the team last season.

The Stars new ownership, Kris Kellaway and father Scott, made the move.

Adduono will make his return on Saturday night when the Stars play host to the English River Miners.
