North Stars winning ways continue against English River

Powered by a pair of Avery Siau goals on Saturday night – his 10th and 11th of the season – the Stars rolled past the host English River Miners 3-1, their seventh straight Superior International Junior Hockey League triumph.

Brad Arabia struck first for Thunder Bay, connecting on the power play with eight seconds to go in the first.

Nash Dabb had the lone goal for the Miners, cutting the Stars lead to 2-1 at the 14- minute mark of the third.

Riley Corbin made 37 saves to earn the win. Korlan Vader stopped 35 of 37 shots in taking the loss. The third-place Stars are now 18-16-2. English River fell to 8-23-5.
