A concussion to Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury has opened the door for Thunder Bay's Matt Murray.
The 21-year-old netminder got the call on Tuesday to join the Penguins, coming off a season that saw him named the American Hockey League goaltender and rookie of the year.
Murray, a third-round pick of the Penguins in 2013, has a 1.84 goals against average and .938 save percentage to go with a 12-4 record playing for the AHL's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
It's Murray's first NHL recall. He's expected to back up Jeff Zatkoff, but played most of the season under recently hired Pittsburgh coach Mike Sullivan.
Fleury is expected to miss one to two weeks.
