Both sides maintained perfect 5-0 records at the four-day, 10-team event, winning all three of their matches on Friday.

Potter, whose team includes lead Will Perozak, second Zach Warkentin and third Matthew Robert, started the day with an 8-6 win over Geraldton's Austin Trottier, then snuck past Sault Ste. Marie's Chris Glibota 5-3 and wrapped up the second day of play with a 9-7 win over Nick Dawson, also from the Sault.

Wark and mates Joel Adams, Kyle Toset and Kristofer Leupen had an equally easy day, doubling Glibota 6-3 in the morning draw, knocking off Trottier 5-3 in the afternoon and edging Sudbury's Dustin Montpelier 7-6 in the final draw of the day.
