Carter Hutton is heading back to Nashville.
The Thunder Bay goaltender on Monday inked a two-year, $1.45 M-deal to return to the Predators, where he’s again expected to serve in a back-up role to Pekka RInne.
The 28-year-old, thrust into a starting role for much of last season when Rinne went down with an injury, became just the sixth 20-game winner in franchise history, posting a 20-11-4 record, a 2.62 goals against average and a .910 save percentage.
Hutton went 13-4-2 in his final 19 decisions, recording his first career NHL shutout near the end of his first full NHL campaign.
He’ll make $700,000 in 2014-15 and $750,000 in 2015-15
