Michela Cava, Jessica Gazzola, Kaley Tienhaara, Brianna Izaaolino and Bronwyn Bolduc have powered the Thunder Bay Queens to the semifinals at the Esso Cup in Charlottetown, P.E.I.
The Queens (4-0) scored twice in the first, twice in the second and once more in the third to down the Halifax Metro Boston Pizzas 5-2 on day four of the national women’s midget hockey championship.
The Queens, who have outscored their opponents 31-5 this week, take on the Pembina Valley Hawks on Thursday.
The win clinched a playoff berth for the Thunder Bay club.
