Queens teams travel to American hockey tournament

Thunder Bay’s Bantam A and Peewee Queens teams will be heading South this weekend to the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota to take part in the All American Girls’ Hockey Tournament.

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay’s Bantam A and Peewee Queens teams will be heading South this weekend to the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota to take part in the All American Girls’ Hockey Tournament.

The Peewee Queens will compete in the U12 A Division starting Saturday morning at 10:35 a.m. against the Elk River Elks and then play again that afternoon at 2:50 p.m. versus the Burnsville Firehawks.

The Bantam As are in the U15 A Division and begin their games a day early on Friday starting with Chaska Chanhassen at 1:50 p.m. and then Minnetonka at 7:45 p.m.

Both teams will be slotted into a bracketed position after their first two games where they’ll compete for either respective division’s Championship or Consolation prizes.
