THUNDER BAY -- After a weekend off, the Lakehead women's volleyball team is ready to hit the court against RMC and Queen's in the Thunderdome this weekend.

The Thunderwolves (2-3) last took on Windsor, where they lost 3-2 the first night and turned around to win 3-0 the next.

RMC (1-5) is a team that will be tough on defence and consistent in their attack. Kara Stephan ranks top three in the OUA for number of total kills per game (63) as well as number of digs per set (4.1).

"We have to control the pace and it is vital for Lakehead to set the tone of this game.Their young setter is one of the best young setters in OUA, and will make you pay for not paying attention to all the hitters and she knows how to set to her main star," said coach Chris Green,

Queen's (4-1) has a new coach and a new energy, playing high-level volleyball with a vast array of offensive weapons. Led by Caroline Livingston and Olivia Van Baaren along with Shannon Neville, this team is a sharp contrast to RMC. They play the game way above the net and with power.

"The switch from Friday to Saturday is a good thing because if you wish to be a playoff team you have to change the plan from night to night. We will rely heavily on our ability to serve and defend, and we must capitalize on our transition opportunity."
