Jamie Searle’s hot hand continued for the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Friday night.
Searle, who led the Wolves to an incredible comeback win last Saturday at home against Laurier, helped the Wolves to a second straight victory with a 29-point effort, powering his team to a nail-biting 78-76 win over host McMaster in Hamilton.
Yoosrie Salhia and Venzal Russell posted 11 points each in the victory, as the Wolves (10-3) maintained sole possession of second spot in the OUA West Division, two points behind top-ranked Windsor (11-2).
Scott Laws was the top scorer for the Marauders (7-6), scoring 19, against the second-stingiest defence in the entire league.
The two teams meet again on Saturday.
