Upset at Friday’s opening-night loss, the Lakehead Thunderwolves took out their frustrations on the Ryerson Rams on Saturday.

Guard Jamie Searle scored 33 points, including a 6-for-10 performance from three-point territory, as the Wolves humbled the Rams 101-74 on Saturday, evening the men’s team’s OUA basketball record at 1-1.

Rookie Venzal Russell also came up big for the Wolves, scoring 20 points, hauling in nine rebounds and being credited with five steals.

Brendan King, with 12, and Ryan Thomson, with 11, also hit double figures for Lakehead.

Ryan Gauthier paced Ryerson with 21.

The Wolves host York and Laurentian next weekend.
