THUNDER BAY, Ont. – Superior International Junior Hockey League Commissioner Bryan Graham has announced the following suspensions.
NICK MINERVA, FORT FRANCES LAKERS – ONE (1) GAME
Minerva is suspended one (1) game for his actions in SIJHL Game No. 89, Dryden GM Ice Dogs @ Fort Frances Lakers, played on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016.
He receives the one-game suspension under rule 6.1 (f) under supplementary discipline for incurring a match penalty for spearing in the third period in Saturday’s game vs. Dryden.
Minerva’s suspension will be served during the following game:
Game No. 94 – Saturday, Jan. 23 vs. Minnesota
JOE CARNEY, DRYDEN GM ICE DOGS – ONE (1) GAME
Carney is suspended one (1) game for his actions in SIJHL Game No. 89, Dryden GM Ice Dogs @ Fort Frances Lakers, played on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016.
He receives the one-game suspension under Supplementary Discipline for checking from behind in Saturday’s game vs. Fort Frances.
Carney’s suspension will be served during the following game:
Game No. 93 – Friday, Jan. 22 @ Thunder Bay
